I can't do it!

I just can't bring myself to sit down and list all 300 ahhhhs. But that's ok. Someone pointed out to me that there is no way this lady has 300 designs in her book. And if they are public domain designs..it doesn't matter. No one can copyright the designs, and anyone can make patterns from them! Therefore, I am doing what I want to do. I like to be organized and it bugs me to no end to have all those released ones sitting there with no secondary patterns! So..I've been busy drawing them up first.

The newest ones I have finished that I haven't shown you are numbers 13-25.

Number 13- Stepping Stones- is probably the easiest Ahhhh there is, and with the setting it is fun to fussy cut. This layout is very pretty and I think I need to sew it up. Each ahhhh is the same, they are just rotated to create the pattern.

Number 14 -- Triangle Star-- can be colored a variety of ways since it is just triangles. I think many might like changing the colors of the stars for each block.

Number 15-- spinning star-- is so intriguing. If you purchase this one print out lots of copies of the coloring page and play around. Lots of options!

Number  16-- Ozark Native-- is another super simple one but it sure creates an awesome secondary pattern. Bet you didn't realize it created this did you? This is a prime example of WHY I want to get secondary patterns up for you! (I do think I am going to add them to each photo on the website too. I like to stay busy I guess.)

Number 17-- Pie and Ice Cream-- can also create star patterns if you are choosy with your design.

Number 18-- Aunt Mollies Umbrella-- is a fun pattern. Add a bunch more and choose carefully and you could have stars or pyramids.

Number 19-- Tilt a whirl-- is one more of several with a sliced layout. I've shown here how just turning the block will change the pattern of the layout.

Number 20 -- Inspiration Point-- is very pretty in the star layout.

Number 21-- Reflections-- was an interesting one to play around with. Looks like mountains here!

Number 22-- Diamond Engagement-- is just a pretty little pattern. Shown here I colored each block exactly the same. I think I need to sew this one up too.

Number 23 -- Razor Sharp-- is insane, that is what it is. I about went crazy coloring it this way or that. i finally went with just a few tossed together to show you the little pyramids. But carefully chosen design will give you pyramids upon pyramids if you want it to.

Number 24  -- The Hidden Star-- lends itself to playing more with the individual ahhhh, having fun with that middle section. It does, of course make a nice star pattern when matched up.

Number 25 -- Granny's Spring Tonic-- is a common paper piecing setting with a bit of design change added in. By adding those little extra pieces (shown in the darkest blue), it makes for a pretty pattern that isn't quite like the seven sisters or star pattern you see in a lot of hexagon settings.

I figured it out..I'm kind of slow at times.

I figured out how to separate me from me!! Yep.

From now on this is my business blog only. All quilts, fabric, notions, videos, designs.

My old blog is personal. Jerry. Life. Us.

Today I posted on the other blog the latest findings concerning Jerry and his latest health issues.

I QUIT quilting!

Not for good. Just temporarily. And I just made the decision like 5 minutes ago. Call it rash.

Basically it is because I was counting ahhhhs and I looked at the date and I realized that I really need to get all my ahhhhs on the market before "that book" comes out. I just really do..that is of utmost importance!!

So I am laying aside my beautiful-that-I-want-to-complete table runner for now. Have you seen the beginning of it? The runner starts with these ahhhhs:

Then I build upon them..this is as far as I am willing to share until it is all done. I will get the pattern pack all set up in my shop for you; which will encourage me to get those ahhhhs listed on the website as in NOW.
(they actually take a long time because for each one I have to draw the design for the website, the bag label and the coloring page...and then I get distracted and find that I just have to draw secondary patterns as those are FUN!)

I have the top finished, just need to work on the border but NOT UNTIL I get beat the clock. I just have to!!

Go Hillbilly GO go go!

Since I know some will ask:
Mr Hillbilly is still very sick. We still dont have answers.
Its like a ditto of 2 years ago...
and that is that.

The disappearing act

When I disappear...
then you know my life is insanity. I know my life is usually crazy. But when I am gone for THIS long then you know its insanity. I always have to pick and choose what I will work on in the few minutes I have and since the fabric group pays the bills...well you know.

So here is a quick run down:

1) Mr. Hillbilly is sick. Again. This time its most likely his liver causing the most issues. His Chron's is acting up as well but they can't do a thing about that..because of his liver. He has some liver tests this week and that's about all we know. He sleeps ALOT, is worn out ALOT, and cannot watch Stephen so I can work except for short periods of time.

2) Mr. Hillbilly did NOT get his job he was trying for. Good. I mean I hate this town but he's not well enough to change jobs. Best leave life how it is for now.

3) Hillbilly (thats me) has some crazy female issues that need resolved ASAP. I will have insurance in October ..counting the days. I will need surgery. Nuff said about that. Other than for 2-3 days a month it is almost scary. I have no idea how to afford said insurance but we'll deal with that when the time comes. Can't wait any longer is all I know.

4) Hillbilly (me again) has been pretty down in the dumps. Worse than I've ever been since the whole mess started almost 3 years ago now. I just hate seeing Mr. head down the sick path again. I hate him spending his life..in bed. He only does this when he's really sick. But me and the kids spend life alone. And that, my friends, is hard. I have shouldered things for so long and I feel like I am at a breaking point...or I did a couple of weeks ago. I am actually fine now. I think my horrid female issues had me wondering how I was going to tolerate everything.

Ok that was personal..now for business:

1) I will be releasing ahhhhs for month 18 soon. I know they are VERY late but we didnt have income while Mr wasnt working so I couldnt order them. I am sorry. To save money I will now package them on my own again and I am waiting on some pieces then they will go up to the website.

2) Due to the huge drop off of club sales, month 18 will be the last monthly club offered. I will still list all 300 plus to the website for sale; but usually most people pick and choose after the first few months.
I do have some good things up my sleeve for the future concering ahhhhs  and hexagons. I just need my household to calm and cooperate with those plans :)

3) Facebook groups:
Since my job requires me to pretty much live on facebook, I do check in there quite often. There are some great groups on facebook that are instant and fun...a bit easier to do than blogs. Some favorites to look for:

"Ive been hexed and I like it" (I didnt want to join this forever because of the name but its a very active EPP group)

"english paper piecing".

" for the love of paper piecing"

"jason yenter fan club"

"ozark fabric" -- I sort of live here

There are TONS of groups for every type of quilting. bonnie hunter. hand quilting. modern quilting.

i am going to try to get into instagram and twitter..but I am needing to learn that mess and who has time for that? I tell you I need to hire a media person.

Well that is the rundown really fast. I doubt I'll check in again until I know how Mr is doing with his liver. I'll let you all know as soon as I know!
